CSR is the pioneering supplier of the technology for the Connectivity Centre with a product portfolio covering Bluetooth, GPS, FM and Wi-Fi (IEEE802.11). CSR has a track record for consistent innovation that has resulted in a leadership position for supplying wireless technologies.

CSR’s customers include industry leaders such as Apple, Dell, LG, Motorola, NEC, Nokia, Panasonic, RIM, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, TomTom and Toshiba.

CSR has its headquarters and offices in Cambridge, UK, and offices in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, India, France, Denmark, Sweden and both Dallas and Detroit in the USA.

CSR designs single-chip wireless devices. In the Bluetooth market, CSR is ranked #1 in every Bluetooth market segment with a unit market share in excess of 50%. CSR's leading position in the Bluetooth business has been won by a unique approach to IC design based on extremely high levels of integration, providing compelling performance and cost advantages to OEMs. This brand ethos has been carried through to 802.11 applications, with an IC architecture that integrates a new level of functionality embracing all three major variants of the protocol (802.11a, b and g), and IC choices that offer solutions for both current applications, and emerging embedded applications in portable consumer electronics devices (including mobile phone handsets) and home appliances. Similarly, we are currently applying these approaches to a range of wireless standards including UWB, Wireless USB, GPS and NFC. Our current UWB work focuses on the development of WiMedia compliant UWB communication systems for the use in Wireless USB and Bluetooth devices. CSR maintains high commitments in specification and test development in WiMedia, Bluetooth SIG and USB-IF. CSR brings to the project experience in regulatory, conformance and interoperability testing along with lots of experience in organization and participation in PlugFest/ IOP testing
